Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 September 2026
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit it. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, pixels and tracking scripts, work in a comparable way. In this Policy, we refer to all of them as “cookies”.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are first-party cookies; cookies set by another domain are third-party cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain on your device until they expire or you delete them.
2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies to make the Soul Fabrics online store (the “Store”) work, to remember your choices and — only with your consent — to understand how the Store is used and to measure the effectiveness of our marketing.
In accordance with Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive) and the Law on Information Society Services of the Republic of Latvia, we may store strictly necessary cookies without your consent. All other cookies are set only after you have given your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Each category below lists the cookies currently in use. Before we activate a new service, we will add it to the relevant category of this Policy.
3. Essential Cookies
Essential cookies are strictly necessary for the Store to function and to provide the services you request, such as keeping items in your shopping cart and remembering your cookie choice. They cannot be switched off in our cookie settings.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| soul-fabrics-cart (local storage) | Soul Fabrics | Keeps the contents of your shopping cart between pages and visits. | Until deleted |
| soul-fabrics-cookie (local storage) | Soul Fabrics | Stores your cookie choice so that we do not ask you again on every visit. | Until deleted |
4. Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember choices you make in order to provide a more convenient experience, such as the language version of the Store. Cookies that only customise the interface at your request do not require consent.
If we introduce functional cookies that are not strictly necessary for a feature you have requested, we will set them only with your consent.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| NEXT_LOCALE | Soul Fabrics | Remembers the language version of the Store you are using. | Session |
5. Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the Store — for example, which pages are visited most often and where technical problems occur. This information is used in aggregated form to improve the Store.
We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics tools in the future, such as Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity, they will be activated only after you have accepted analytics cookies and will be listed in this section together with their provider, purpose and duration.
6. Marketing Cookies
Marketing cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and to show you relevant advertisements on other websites and social networks.
We do not currently use marketing cookies. If we introduce marketing tools in the future, such as the Meta Pixel, they will be activated only after you have accepted marketing cookies and will be listed in this section together with their provider, purpose and duration.
7. Third-Party Cookies
Some services we use are provided by third parties, which may set their own cookies under their own policies. We do not control these cookies.
Payments: when you proceed to payment, you are redirected to a secure payment page operated by Stripe on its own domain. Stripe uses cookies there that are necessary to process the payment and prevent fraud. Their use is governed by the Stripe Cookie Policy: https://stripe.com/cookies-policy/legal.
When we add third-party analytics or marketing tools, their providers will be named in the relevant section of this Policy together with a link to their privacy information. Where such a provider transfers data outside the European Economic Area, the safeguards described in our Privacy Policy apply.
8. Managing Cookie Preferences
When you first visit the Store, a cookie banner allows you to accept all cookies or to allow only essential cookies. Non-essential cookies are not set until you have made your choice.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time by clicking “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
If you allow only essential cookies, the Store will continue to work in full: you can browse, place orders and pay as usual.
9. Browser Cookie Controls
You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Guidance for the most common browsers is available at:
Google Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95647
Mozilla Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox
Apple Safari: https://support.apple.com/guide/safari/manage-cookies-sfri11471/mac
Microsoft Edge: https://support.microsoft.com/microsoft-edge/delete-cookies-in-microsoft-edge-63947406-40ac-c3b8-57b9-2a946a29ae09
Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies may prevent parts of the Store from working; for example, your shopping cart will be emptied.
10. Updates to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we introduce new services or when the law changes. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page.
If we introduce new categories of non-essential cookies, we will ask for your consent again before they are used.
